Sam Edmundson MChiro DC – Chiropractor
Dr Sam was heavily involved in sports during the early stages of his adolescence, particularly excelling in fencing. By the age of 13 he was part of the Team GB travelling junior squad. Unfortunately he had to retire prematurely from competitive sports when he sustained a severe disk injury at age 15. The injury would then go on to affect his physical health for a further 4 years.
His father had suffered from a similar injury and he introduced Sam to chiropractic. Seeing how the adjustments benefited his father and now experiencing it first hand himself, Sam became very interested in chiropractic. This would lead him to pursue a career in Chiropractic to help other people not to have to go through what he experienced from a young age.
Sam went on to complete the five year Masters degree in Chiropractic at the Welsh Institute Of Chiropractic (WIOC) and is a full member of the General Chiropractic Council and the United Chiropractic Association
Outside of the practice he enjoys going to the gym and spending time with his family. He is a qualified fencing coach and is very excited to be part of his clients’ journeys to improve their sports performance. He loves seeing young and old maximise their health potential through chiropractic.
Nicky Hanks – Chiropractic Assistant
After 25 years of working for a local government agency, Nicky was ready for a career change. She was a client of Dr Christine’s and having had first hand experience of Chiropractic care she was very excited to join the team in September 2017. She finds the best part is seeing the improvement in our clients’ health and hearing the positive comments they make after their adjustments. Nicky also loves to create our window displays with Syd the Skeleton and organising the children’s colouring competitions. Outside of the office she runs a crafting group which supports local charities and enjoys walking with her husband Andy, and dog Tamba.
Louise Walpole – Chiropractic Assistant
Louise joined the Vital Family Chiropractic team in June 2018 and absolutely loves her role as Chiropractic Assistant. She has realised there is so much more to it than just the admin part. As front of house she really loves being part of our clients’ chiropractic journey and the improvements to their health, no matter how big or small. She also loves doing our black board and wipe boards, filling them with interesting chiropractic facts and quotes. Before joining VFC she worked as a massage therapist and has always had a keen interest in the human body and how it works, so she feels her role here is really helping to expand her knowledge. Louise is happily married and has two teenage children who keep her very busy. In her spare time she likes swimming, walking and going to concerts.
